The Daqing Zhonglan Petrochemical Co has looked for ways to help Youth League members play a greater role in the company’s development and help them grow and improve. It has standardized its training and promotion system for young employees and this has had a positive effect on them and their commitment to their work and to mastering techniques and being innovative in their work. The young workers say they welcome the promotion system and that it helps in their career planning.
Some young workers, such as Zhou Guiren and Wang Yan, have been moved to mid-management in recent years and a group of college grads, such as Shi Weibo and Du Juan, have been promoted to more important positions in the technology and quality control departments thanks to their outstanding performance. And, more than 10 female employees were promoted to engineer level and Youth League members now compete with one another in contributing to Daqing Zhonglan’s development.
