The Shandong Changyi Petrochemical Co has asked the Shandong Siwei Security Assessment Center, which deals with chemical security, to do an on-site evaluation of potential sources of danger in its production facilities and storage areas. The assessment follows national Temporary Regulation on Supervision and Management of Major Danger Sources for Hazardous Chemicals standards to help standardize danger management, improve the management level, and eliminate hidden dangers to avoid casualties and major fires or facility failures. Changyi Petrochemical plans to use the assessment to improve danger supervision in key areas, clarify responsibilities at all secure production sites, improve production conditions, and increase worker awareness of security and secure production by increasing danger source management.
