The Daqing Zhonglan Petrochemical Co was successful in its 2012 assessment of its HSE management system and audit for re-certification, on Jan 9.
During the three-day study, the panel of inspectors did a detailed assessment of the company’s quality, environmental, and occupational health system, and concluded that the company’s management met HSE standards and were effective in their implementation. The leaders and department heads, they concluded, do their duties earnestly, exercise due supervision, and manage the quality, environmental, and health systems, and can guarantee normal HSE operations.
In the area of equipment maintenance and repair work, the panel found that all infrastructure and facilities had been maintained and that the special equipment was up to standards. The company even held higher standards and had higher goals and management plans for the environment and risk assessment and these were enforced. The panel said they believed the company exercised effective control over purchases and product quality and handled production in accordance with the plans and guaranteed environmental and production order. They also found that customer satisfaction was as high as 95 percent, and concluded that the company’s health, safety, and environment system met standards and operated efficiently, whereupon they recommended that certification be granted.
