The Bluestar Petroleum (Jinan) Co, in the last few years, has placed more importance on energy conservation and pollution-reduction. So, it recently received a grant of 150,000 yuan from the Jinan energy conservation fund as a reward for getting rid of outdated, high-energy-consuming mechanical and electrical equipment at its Changcheng plant. It replaced its Y-series motors to get rid of outdated, high energy-consuming equipment and to save electricity. In 2012, it replaced 57 such motors, with a total capacity of 1,708.5 kW, and, by Aug, had replaced all of the outdated motors. The replacement cost about 1.15 million yuan, and the new equipment can help save about 490,000 kW-hours of electricity annually.
