A key technological upgrade project at the Bluestar Petroleum (Jinan) Co, in 2012, has finished its interim delivery. The project for recovering gas from torches, involving a 5,000-cubic-meter gas tank, could help cut pollution and is significant for energy conservation, reduced consumption, and environmental protection.

To ensure project progress, the office in control held a coordination meeting on a weekly basis to deal with problems arising during construction, while the technology and engineering departments met on-site every day to discuss solutions to any problems that arose.

After three-and-a-half months of work, on Dec 23, the main gas tank structure was completed. On the 25th, it was given a 168-hour air-tightness test, and on Dec 23, the compressor test-run was completed. On the 25th, the design, supervision, and construction units did a joint appraisal, and did some modifications, on the 28th. The next day, there was a project office ceremony. With the project delivered and operating, all the company’s technological upgrades for 2012 were completed.
