The ChemChina Petrochemical (Tianjin) Co has been involved in the fight against corruption and the push for more honest corporate governance, and has given priority to more efficient supervision in production and other operations. Thanks to more efficient supervision in auditing, settlements, examining contracts, bidding, purchasing, and technological upgrades, the company has been able to put a halt to job-related crimes and save 678,200 yuan this year.
The company used more efficient supervision on six technology upgrade projects, such as the use of low-temperature heating, and was able to plug loopholes in the management process to prevent project irregularities. To improve the fight against corruption and promote honest corporate governance, ChemChina Petrochemical (Tianjin) stepped up its corruption education efforts in the purchasing, finance, sales, marketing, and human resource departments, and improved 45 management systems, including the one for open bidding in the purchase of materials and the use of large funds.
