Executives from ChemChina Petrochemical Corp (CPC) have recently met with leaders of its four subsidiaries over the launching of the ERP (enterprise-wide resource planning) project.
The meetings explained how the ERP system performed in trial operations for the CPC and two other pilot companies. It emphasized overall planning, such as the methods, promotion plans and implementation strategies.
CPC executives said that in the construction of the ERP, three items: staffing, clear procedures and data collection, should become the focus. Gao Zhiwei, general manager of the CPC, delivered instructions during the meeting saying that, “every corporation should place utmost importance on the information construction due to heavy assignments this year”.
The ERP could play a positive role in improving the production and control capabilities of the CPC, as well as a making for a lean management.
