The Huaxing petrochemical Group held its January work conference on the 28th, with the vice-president, Liu Jingtang, and the heads of the supply, sales, finance, and production departments in attendance.
The department heads held a briefing on operations and the production situation for the month and the duty roster for the Chinese New Year.
Liu gave an overview of the business situation for the coming year and the work plan for each department. Purchasing will need to be active in looking for new sources and closely follow any global market shifts so that costs and pricing can be held down.
The inspection department will need to adjust its approach to raw materials to cut losses. Sales personnel are expected to look for more customers in nearby markets to increase revenues. Production personnel will need to make a greater effort to increase safety awareness through training and better safety measures, especially in construction work, to put an end to accidents resulting from human error. In general, energy savings and reduced consumption, especially in the case of electric power, are the priority for all departments this year.
And, last but not the least, all staff members were told to closely follow the work plans of the China National Chemical Corp (ChemChina) and ChemChina Petrochemical Corp for 2012 and to handle any problems they encounter in production and general operations, and to make an effort to have a good start for the new year.
