Changyi Petrochemical’s ERP project for its 1-million-to-per-year reforming integrated unit and diesel hydrogenation unit recently went into operation ahead of schedule, providing for trial material feedings for new projects.
The company started focusing on the ERP project this year. It established contact with the Beijing Data Center. It involved key users and studied the new unit’s business. Users looked at relevant scientific research reports and communicated with project personnel. They also spoke with consultants at the data center. The efforts eventually helped form the ERP blueprint report for the new units.
The project went through five stages: research, design, implementation, launch preparation and official operation. As of Sept 25, its key users had carefully finished unit, integration, limits of authority, and monthly settlement tests under the trial and official production models. Data on raw and adjunct materials, new products, semi-finished products, suppliers, clients and equipment were also put into the production system after careful inspection. On Sept 26, the ERP project was officially switched over into an official operation system after various checks. It started running on Sept 27.
With the ERP system online, finished goods production and sales, material supply and consumption were dynamically integrated with financial information in the EPR system. The company can conduct effective analysis on business operations utilizing the finance, marketing, procurement, inventory and supply statements generated by the system. This has significantly improved the company’s overall work efficiency and management.
