Recently, Changyi Petrochemical performed an internal audit on its quality management system to examine its effectiveness and find opportunities for improvement.
The audit involved all production and sales departments and processes related to gasoline, light diesel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, propylene, sulfur, petroleum coke and MTBE.
The audit team strictly followed company quality, procedure documents and GB/T19001-2008 standards. It focused on quality responsibilities, goals and implementation, and sustainable improvement. It reviewed documents, resources, production and services management, responsibilities, and unqualified product treatment. It also checked how the company carried out its quality goals. After two days of review, the audit team concluded that Changyi Petrochemical had thoroughly carried out its quality management system with expected results. But the audit also raised some problems, such as out-of-bound operation indices and incomplete data records. All departments were asked to rectify the problems and come up with prevention methods for the future.
The quality management system has been running well since it was established in 2003. It has passed expert approval and was deemed highly suitable and effective for raising and stabilizing product quality. The system has provided strong support for the company’s good and rapid development.
