Recently, Changyi Petrochemical made preparations to protect against freezing weather in order to ensure safe production for the upcoming winter.
The company looked over implementation of anti-freezing measurements and the use and management of heat-tracing pipes. Equipment, pipes and valves should not malfunction due to cold weather conditions.
The company set up inspections by teams, departments and the company. It set up special management for pumps, pipelines and valves. It checked storage and transportation equipment, steam traps and condensation drains. It addressed problems immediately once they were found. It also strengthened controls on heavy oil heating and pre-heating of heavy oil pumps and jiggers. It strengthened the supervision of long-distance transport pipes.
All workshops combined previous winter production records and solved problems one at a time. They came up with key checkpoints and asked employees to study anti-freezing procedures. All problems were collected and sent to the construction department to be rectified. The company clarified responsibilities and worked out detailed anti-freezing measures to solve problems for a hydrogenation unit. The move also enhanced employee skills in conducting anti-freezing work.
Changyi also set up a performance evaluation system to encourage employees to work harder to carry out anti-freezing measures and ensure safe winter production.
