The Changyi Petrochemical Co launched its office automation (OA) project on Nov 22, 2011, with more than 40 company leaders and information commissioners attending. Xu Guodong, the project manager, explained the background, organization, content and overall plan and the success factors of the project.
Xu explained that the program was designed, produced and maintained by Digital China and will allow Changyi Petrochemical to speed up information processing and sharing within the company and provide accurate, and timely information support for daily office work, transaction processing, and decision making.
Zhang Shusheng, the company's deputy general manager, emphasized the importance of the informatization project and said that department heads need to cooperate with the research and testing findings to ensure program implementation. The purpose of the project is to improve office efficiency, management informatization, and office automation.
It is expected to go into operation on Jan 6, 2012 after internal testing, user testing and training.
