Changyi Petrochemical recently successfully put its fuel pipeline into operation, raising fuel pressure of the continuous catalytic reforming unit from 0.23Mpg to 0.56Mpg, which has ensured steady unit operation and resolved issues in recovered gas delivery. It marked a step forward in the company’s fuel system utilization.
Changyi not only conducted equipment overhaul but also paid attention to its long-term economic benefits. It arranged in-depth inspection and analysis on its production units to find existing problems and relevant solutions. Considering that the reforming unit was at the end of the fuel pipeline, that fuel gas pressure couldn’t supply steady production and that the old fuel pipeline couldn’t meet sustainable development requirements, the company added new a DN300 fuel pipeline to the continuous catalytic reforming unit to realize steady fuel pressure and production of qualified products with high-added value.
Changyi Petrochemical’s gas system consists of 0.7MPag, 0.5MPag and low-pressure pipeline networks. The technical renovation took into account the connection and valve control of DN150 and DN300 burning lines, as well as the hydrogenation control process for the fuel system, delayed coking, after-burning control for the DN300 pipeline, and fuel use process for a 1.8-million-ton diesel hydrogenation modification unit. The company has integrated the old and new fuel gas pipelines. It clarified responsibilities among departments and implemented various measures to ensure optimal operation of the gas system.
