ChemChina Logistics successfully got the Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier qualification on Sept 3, kicking off its non-vessel transportation service.
ChemChina Logistics applied for NVOCC qualification this March to meet business development requirements and unload 10 million tons of imported crude oil. It received a domestic freight forwarding business qualification on April 16 and was entrusted with the Nanjing Tanker Corp’s shipment transportation on July 1, paving the way for the NVOCC qualification. It received approval on August 1 after three months of preparation and received the letter of qualification on Sept 3.
The qualification will effectively bring down raw oil unloading costs. The State Administration of Taxation allows the NVOCC-qualified enterprise to be commissioned for international freight transportation, arrange port affairs for international transportation tools and unload shipments. The qualification will keep the company exempt from the added-value tax.
At the same time, it will help ChemChina Logistics expand international business, upgrade freight forwarding service quality and comprehensive competitiveness, save logistics costs, and broaden development space.
