Daqing Zhonglan has to finish 732 projects during its one-month production equipment overhaul, including technical renovation, equipment upgrading and regular inspections, according to Yu Mingchun, head of the technical renovation team. The company has to carry out construction and inspection simultaneously to ensure problems can be found and solved in time and projects can run on schedule.
Major projects include gas renovation, liquid gas desulfurization and diesel dehydration. The gas renovation involves increasing the water-sealed tank, the automatic torch ignition system and the gas control system. It will make full use of residual gas. The liquid gas desulfurization aims to bring down sulfur content in MTBE to meet national standards. The diesel dehydration project will reduce water content in diesel through a diesel dehydration tower, condenser, vacuum pump and storage tank to ensure quality.
In addition, top cycle, air separation heat exchange – as well as low-temperature, heating, desalted and fresh water systems – will be added to the DCC unit. The steam system of the gasoline hydrogenation unit, the FCC unit’s heat recovery boiler and the slag cooler will be renovated. The project will cut use of standard oil by 10 kilograms per year and save 20 tons of steam per hour.
