Qenos experts conduct SHE study at Changyi Petrochemical

Seven experts from ChemChina conducted a one-day study at Changyi Petrochemical, which was one of ChemChina’s two subsidiaries that officially started the SHE research. Ji Jianjun, deputy director of ChemChina’s production and management office; Cheng Changjin, director of the China National Chemical Information Center’s press department; Zhao Yuhong, deputy chief inspector of ChemChina Petrochemical, as well as two experts from Qenos and all senior officials and SHE personnel at Changyi Petrochemical, attended the research inauguration meeting.

Ji Jianjun spoke highly of Changyi Petrochemical’s work in promoting the construction of the SHE management system, and had a thorough discussion with SHE personnel. Ji hoped that the company could take the study as an opportunity to upgrade SHE management in the future. The research group had a thorough understanding of Changyi’s production, operations, technical process, products, as well as corporate safety and SHE system construction. The two experts from Qenos introduced the IQ business and SHE management project at Qenos.


After the meeting, the research group went to the production and operation room, and looked at the DCC unit, as well as the safety building and SHE management at reformer team. They had exchanges with officials and employees at the production department and offered suggestions on Changyi’s SHE culture and management, paving the way for future pilot SHE management work. The study was not only an important beginning for carrying out Bluestar’s SHE system building and promoting Qenos SHE system, but also played an important role in strengthening ChemChina Petrochemical’s risk control capacity and carrying out national safety and environmental protection regulations.
