Huaxing Petrochemical’s mechanical operations department has followed national and provincial regulations and invited the local meteorology bureau to conduct anti-thunder and anti-static inspections on all facilities at the production zone and office buildings.
The mechanical operations department worked closely with workers from the meteorology bureau, and spent two days finishing their field inspection. The anti-direct lightning unit, anti-thunder and anti-lightning wave project were all up to standard, and the meteorology bureau personnel spoke highly of Huaxing’s anti-thunder and anti-static measures and offered suggestions on strengthening employee awareness of anti-thunder and anti-static work. Officials from Huaxing said that the company would continue to increase collective and individual awareness of production safety to avoid problems.
The mechanical operations department reviewed grounding for lightening, static, electrical equipment and information systems after the inspection to ensure the results were accurate and reliable. The company has lived up to its responsibility to effectively avoid and reduce accidents caused by lightning and static and to ensure the company’s assets and employee safety.
