Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance jointly issued the list of national clean industrial production model projects for 2014. Zhenghe’s DCC unit flue gas denitration, desulfurization and dusting made the list, and will get 20 percent of its total investment subsidized from the government’s special fund for clean production, approximately more than 20 million yuan ($3.27 million).
Zhenghe’s DCC project is expected to involve a total investment of 109.75 million yuan and go into operation by the end of December 2014. It consists of a preboiler renovation unit, flue gas denitration unit, flue gas desulfurization and dust removal unit, desulfurization waste water, as well as adjunct facility. The denitration process was from Germany-based SCR, and the desulfurization and dust removal process was from Germany-based GEA Bischoff. The project features mature and reliable technology, small system pressure drop, high desulfurization efficiency, efficient investment and low running cost. It can cut nitric oxide emissions by 1,195.4 tons per year, sulfides by 21,830.3 tons and dust by 586.2 tons after it’s put into service. The project can help Zhenghe’s DCC unit meet Shandong’s air pollutants emission standards.
The project not only brings down industrial pollution emissions and helps save energy and water, but also plays a leading role in pollution prevention and treatment work in the local region and drainage basin.
