The company applied for a total of 16 patents in 2014 and got approval for a total of 12 patents. To date, Daqing Zhonglan has a total of 67 patents of utility models authorized by the State Intellectual Property Office. It has brought production costs down by more than 17 million yuan ($2.73 million) through implementing patent technology, according to incomplete statistics.
The company has focused on finding patent applications in production technique improvement, operation stabilization, energy conservation and costs reduction. The C4 unit’s instrument air supply system, a patent developed by Zhao Weijun, a team leader of the company’s operation department No 2, used a vertical airtight buffer tank to store and compress air and eliminate impurities and liquid. It avoided regulating valve malfunctions caused by instrument air out pressure fluctuations, instrument air line blockage or water congelation in winter and effectively ensured smooth operations of the unit. After the implementation of filter cleaning device for coal dust removal, a new patent of the utility model developed by Li Tiejun, a thermoelectricity technician at Daqing Zhonglan, has extended the service life of the filters from 20-22 months to 30-36 months, greatly cutting maintenance costs. It has significantly improved the working environment.
