ChemChina Petrochemical has managed to bring down catalyst, solvent and additive consumption through new management measures and the use of its self-developed database, cutting all extra costs.
Statistics showed that the company's costs for catalysts, solvents and additives have dropped from 32.18 yuan ($5.23) per ton at the beginning of this year to 29.32 yuan currently. In addition, all subsidiaries have also seen a reduction in catalyst, solvent and additive costs. Particularly, Huaxing Petrochemical's costs went down from 32.74 yuan per ton to 24.05 yuan; Changyi Petrochemical from 32 yuan to 27.24 yuan; and Zhenghe Group from 33.64 yuan to 29.07 yuan. The three companies have saved 24.7 million yuan, 17 million yuan and 9.2 million yuan, respectively, in costs as compared with the same period last year.
ChemChina Petrochemical's statistics cover total and single-unit catalyst, solvent and additive consumption and relevant costs. They have integrated adjuncts for recycled and chemical water as well as sewage treatment and fixed bed catalysts. They have also helped in regards to management of catalysts, solvents and additives.
Meanwhile, ChemChina Petrochemical collected reviews on catalysts, solvents and additives from different suppliers, helping the future selection of quality suppliers. The price, specifications and consumption of the three adjuncts were carefully recorded. The efforts have played a positive role in sorting out adjunct management and picking out the best adjunct suppliers.
