Recently, Zhenghe Group commissioned the Beijing Antaixin Technology Co to conduct a thorough monitoring of corrosion on major equipment, towers, and pipes of raw material pretreatment and coking units. The move will help the company find and eliminate potential problems to ensure long-term steady unit operations.
Sinopec and CNPC have long pushed forward corrosion inspection and received positive results. Changyi Petrochemical finished corrosion inspection on seven units in June. Zhenghe has kept contact with Antaixin and came up with a tailored inspection plan based on the conditions of the raw material pretreatment and coking units. Scientific and practical safety measures were brought up based on the corrosion development.
Antaixin has sent two teams to conduct corrosion inspections on two heating furnaces, four columns, eight containers, 28 heat exchangers and 36 major pipes of the raw material treatment unit, as well as two heating furnaces, 11 columns, 10 containers, 42 heat exchangers, 36 air coolers and 37 major pipes of three coking units. The company collected firsthand technical information, samples and photos and maintained the severely corroded parts. It helped Zhenghe maintain steady and safe equipment operations and accumulate valuable experience in anti-corrosion work.
