ChemChina Logistics completed sand blasting work on October 10, paving the way for the overhaul of the T-104 tank.
The tank overhaul was one of the company's major tasks. The company held a preparation meeting on July 23, began cleaning work in August, and finished mechanical cleaning on August 25. A seminar and a bidding meeting were held afterwards, and Henan Changxing Equipment Protection Co won the bid. The company applied specialized sand blasting equipment on the T-104 tank before it underwent further tests.
The sand blasting work began on Sept 1 and covered the upper surface of the tank floor and the buoyancy module, as well as the internal surface of the first lap plate under the tank wall. It was finished after more than a month.
At the moment, the construction company is cleaning the site. Overhaul will be carried out after ChemChina Logistics inspects and approves the cleaning work.
