The Ministry of Environmental Protection made a field inspection of Zhenghe Group’s DCC flue gas denitrification and desulfurization unit. It spoke highly of the unit’s operations after testing flue gas emissions and looking at historical operation data.
Construction of the unit began last May. The unit was named a national industrial clean production demonstration project and received 7.5 million yuan in national financial funds. Sulfur dioxide, dust and nitric oxides were all slashed after the unit went into operation this February. Emissions of sulfur dioxide dropped by 83.3 percent and dust by 80 percent year-on-year.
