As the 31st “international volunteer day” is coming, for days, the enterprises of ChemChina are awarding excellent volunteers in various ways to promote the spirit of volunteer
November 30, Wang Gang from Zhenghe Petrochemical was awarded as the 2016 excellent volunteer of Dongying City. Wang Gang, the leader of Guangrao voluntary service team of obligatory blood donation, obtained gold prize of National Blood Donation in 2012 and in 2015 for two times and was awarded with the China Chemical Medal by China National Chemical Corporation. He not only had donated in total 6800ml blood but also influenced the people around him. The team led by him now has nearly one hundred members and makes outstanding contributions to local volunteer services.
December 1, Changyi Petrochemical organized the staff to actively participate in “Changyi Charity Party for International Volunteer Day and for the 8th Anniversary of the Volunteers’ Union”. Volunteer representatives from Changyi Petrochemical in blue overalls and volunteer’s red vests sang together Follow the Good Example of Lei Feng and Song of Changyi volunteers in the party to show the style of Changyi Petrochemical’s volunteers.
Now, voluntary activities of the staff of all enterprises of ChemChina are sizable. The enterprises organize various volunteer activities all the year around. The volunteers from Zhenghe Petrochemical not only contribute donations for children of sick employees and take their leisure time to clean up green belts in residential area, take care of the elderly in the nursing home, drive college entrance exam takers to and from the test venues for free with their own private cars, and do well as the guides in China GRTAE and Guangrao Sunzi International Cultural Tourism Festival for several times. Changyi Volunteer Association organized spontaneously by the staff of Changyi Petrochemical conduct activities such as “Spring Buds Program” and “Back-to-school Program” to support students. They also go to the nearby nursing homes for the activities of “learning-from-Leifeng, heart-warming, and love-offering” to chat with and do cleaning and housekeeping for the elderly, delivering cordial care and deep love to them. Up to now, Changyi Petrochemical has encouraged 260 officials and employees to participate in the voluntary activities.
Through volunteer service activities, the new fashion of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress" of the era is being formed in the enterprises of ChemChina. The volunteers not only warm those people around them with practical actions, but also form the atmosphere to actively participate in volunteer service activities in the enterprise and successfully establish a good social image of the enterprise.
