Recently, the Shandong Financial Department and Shandong Economy and Information Technology Commission jointly issued a list of projects that boost industrial quality and profit for 2014. Huaxing Petrochemical's DCC flue gas denitration and desulfurization dust removal project made the list and got about 1.6 million yuan ($260,000) in special supporting funds.
The fund was established to boost high-quality and effective industrial development in Shandong and accelerate local industrial transformation and upgrading. Huaxing's project was an important water and gas treatment project with advanced technology, stable operations, proper costs and optimal technical index.
The project covers the waste heat boiler transformation unit, flue gas denitration and desulfurization dust removal units, and desulfurization wastewater treatment unit and supporting facilities. It applied Germany-based GEA Bischoff's flue gas desulfurization dust removal integration technology to treat catalytic cracking unit's flue gas, with a capacity of 200,000 cubic meters per hour.
The project is in the final completion phase and will go into operation soon, which will significantly improve surrounding environment quality and save 6.3 million yuan in sewage costs for Huaxing annually. It's expected to produce prominent environmental protection and economic benefits.
