Daqing Zhonglan's information management and sales departments organized a sales operation process contingency drill on Dec 26, 2014. The move aimed to build a rapid response mechanism for such emergencies as a SAP-ERP system crash and raise emergency processing ability. The company's finance, administration, storage and transportation departments, as well as the measuring center, offered support throughout.
The drill consisted of two parts, one for SAP and ERP systems crash, and one for ERP use after SAP crash. It conformed to requirements of the company's information system contingency plan. During the drill, the sales department made vouchers. The storage and transportation department made cards. Doorkeepers carried out inspection. Truck loading was weighed. The cashier was responsible for cash settlement. The sales department backtracked missed orders, and the finance department checked related information and issued golden tax invoices. The success of the drill effectively raised the company's ability in treating emergencies.
