Changyi Petrochemical recently signed a deal on patent license and design service with France-based Axens. It will use Axens Prime G+TM technology to renovate the existing gasoline hydrogenation unit.
The unit was designed to annually produce 800,000 tons of IV-standard gasoline and slash processing volume. The renovation would add a two-stage hydrodesulfurization process, replace heavy ends hydrogenation catalyst, and adjust the heat transfer process. The renovated unit will consist of all-fraction hydrogenation, pre-fractionation, one-stage and two-stage hydrodesulfurization, and product stabilization sections.
The project will produce 1 million tons of V-standard gasoline and more than 10 million yuan ($1.59 million) in direct economic benefit every year.
