Daqing Zhonglan has taken various measures to help female employees fare well at work. It has encouraged them to do their best and play an equally important role in company production and management as male employees.
The company has given care to female workers and their families. It established files of those facing difficulties five years ago to help them get back on their feet. Nearly 20,000 yuan has been dealt out to 50 female workers in need every year. The company offered female workers health checks and set up health files for them. It has forced female workers to opt into special disease insurance and offers treatment and healthcare measures for employees under the weather, allowing them to perform better at work and devote more energy to study and daily life.
Female workers have become an important force in the company's various trainings on continuous improvement, TPM and SAP programs. They took up 35 percent of all trainees. The company has also arranged for them to take part in various labor competitions to upgrade their technical skills. A total of 10 female workers won first prize in different contests, and more than 10 female workers have worked their way up to unit engineers.
Daqing Zhonglan has bought books for female workers to enrich their cultural life and encourage them to be respectful and independent. The company has held yoga and work etiquette training, as well as aerobics matches to cater to their various needs. All the efforts have given incentives to female worker enthusiasm. They started to decorate their office the way they did their homes. They put table clothes in restrooms, small vases on microwaves, and needle work boxes and medical kits at operation rooms. They also spent spare time making dozens of cross-stitches, which are now displayed at the office building and activity center, adding a sense of home to the company.
"We have felt the warmth and care from our company," said Wang Jing, who was named model Party member many times.
"We will ensure crude oil quality before it enters the plant."
Wang has led a team that conducted nearly 10,000 raw material tests and has made zero mistakes so far, thanks to her hard work.
Liu Hongli has spent 20 years managing 417 pieces of water supply and drainage equipment. She has continued to accumulate equipment management experience and has been named a top10 model worker for years.
Daqing Zhonglan has also been named a model unit and organization for women work many times by the Daqing government.
