The Jinan branch of ChemChina Petrochemical has seen significant results after it put a stacked spiral sludge dewatering machine into use for two months.
The previous centrifugal unloader failed to deliver desirable results in sludge dewatering. It couldn't meet technical process requirements and caused excessive sludge at A/O pools. In addition, suspended solid concentration in filtrate went over the top, causing great difficulties to daily operations and increasing labor intensity.
The stacked spiral sludge dewatering machine has many edges over the centrifugal unloader. It has better energy conservation performance, with 2.54kW in total power, while the centrifugal unloader’s total power stood at 44.5kW. Moreover, the machine has a higher sludge dewatering efficiency. It can produce more than 30 kilograms of dried sludge per hour, with water content below 30 percent. There is barely suspended solid concentration in its filtrate, which can effectively avoid secondary pollution in sludge treatment. In addition, the machine features low rotary speed and low vibration noise. It has self-cleaning functions, which can avoid filter seam blockage, reducing work for sludge workers.
