Tianjin Petrochemical has made early deployment of flood prevention work as flood season is approaching. The company formulated a contingency plan, prepared flood prevention equipment and arranged flood prevention workers.
The company initiated a 24-hour flood prevention watch system from April and set up a flood rescue team to deal with an emergent flood situation. A flood-control headquarters was founded to inspect the unit's flood prevention preparations. Manger plates and cofferdams were built at key and low-lying sections. Flood control pumps were all checked to ensure smooth operations. Special personnel were also assigned to manage those pumps.
In addition, Tianjin Petrochemical built a three-level flood prevention team and prepared raincoats, shovels, emergency lights and woven bags. Small portable draining pumps were also installed for water pooling at low-lying areas. To date, the company has fully carried out various flood prevention measures.
