Recently, Zhenghe Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. was awarded the best practice award for responsibility care at the 2nd evaluation conference for advanced responsibility care entities and individuals of China's petroleum and chemical industries, which was jointly held by the Responsibility Care Council of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (CPCIF RCC) and the Responsibility Care Leadership Group of International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA RCLG).
Zhenghe Petrochemical improves its process safety management through a dual system that integrates risk classification control and hidden danger investigation & control, which is supported by such means as HAZOP analysis, stricter process change management and intensified safety training. Zhenghe has been recognized as the benchmark for enterprises in Dongying, Shandong in the first round of duel system establishment in the province, and provides guidance for its peers in this regard, greatly helping to improve process safety management level of its peers.
Responsibility Care is known as a self-disciplined action of the global chemical industry to continuously improve health, safety and environment performance among other aspects. It is also a specific practice of petroleum and chemical enterprises to care for employees, care for the society, fulfill their social responsibilities and pursue sustainable development.
At the evaluation conference, nine entities were evaluated as the best organization entities, including Sinochem Group and BASF (China) Co., Ltd., and 41 entities were awarded the best practice awards, including CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company Limited and Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical Industry Corp.
